Improved trailer

This is my trailer for Derangement, I have improved it by taking the echo of the stairs clip. However, I want to change the diegetic sound on the clip in which Olivia is talking.

Improved Derangement Trailer

This is an improved version of my horror trailer- DERANGEMENT. I have added the green band in.

Shots that were cut from my trailer

In my trailer i used a different version of this shot as I filmed it from inside the house and watched the villain enter, rather than from this angle.

This is another shot in which I liked but used a different version within my trailer as I showed the character walking down the stairs, rather than up. I also changed it by using a tripod in one part of it so it was a steady clip, whereas in this version I used hand held so it looks shaky.

I cut this clip from my trailer as it was too long and it was hard to clip. Originally, this was just a practice shot which is why is it hand held as I wanted to try different techniques before filming properly, however, I thought it could of been a good shot so I imported it onto iMovie.

From my audience feedback I found that this ornament had a good response and people found it creepy. I used this in my trailer, however I placed the doll in a different place so it was just a dark background with the ornament as the main focus.

This is an outtake of the clip in which Olivia was being dragged across the floor. This shot took a couple of attempts to work right.

This is an improved version of my horror trailer, I have removed the clip in which Jennifer was walking behind the fence as I found it looked repetitive.

FINAL MAGAZINE COVER

I have made slight changes to my magazine cover such as the font of the writing as after some more research on Empire magazine, I noticed that the font was quite plain.

TRAILER!!

This is my horror trailer, Derangement. I used many of the typical horror conventions within my work as when I researched other horror trailers the majority of them followed a certain structure: slow paced at the beginning and then the pace quickens and the music becomes more intense.

MAGAZINE COVER!

This is my magazine cover for my horror trailer. I used the conventional colours of horror to instantly tell the audience what genre it is. I also used the same font for the title of the film as I did on my poster as it gives it a house style.

ANCILLARY TASK- POSTER!!

This is my poster for my horror trailer. I used the colours red, black, grey and white as this is typical of horror. I edited the images so the villain is masked. In my experience this makes it scarier. The colours also connotate danger.

In the age of Web 2.0 I am now a prosumer rather than a consumer as I am now producing work that can be seen by a wide audience across the world on the internet.

Easter Holidays

Over the Easter holidays I have been revising the different theorists on narrative theory and genre theory. I have also been working on my evaluation of my trailer and ancillary tasks. i plan to use programmes such as prezi and slideshare to present my evaluation, I will also film myself.
